Thank God Hollywood didn't do a remake of this like they would do today

Imagine Elvis Presley, Anne Margret and every other big star of the '50s being recruited to star in a dumbed down version of "the Seventh Seal." Fortunately the level of greed and distopian, artistic tastelessness didn't rule the big studios in the '50s like it does today.

With product placement and consumerism.

"Is it so inconceivable to comprehend God with one's senses?"

"Not without Camel cigarettes, they're mild, and good tasting."

reply

Death himself has come to smokers

I only hope they don't try to make a remake of this movie now. That would be truly horrendous.

Ugh, now I've got the mental image of Nicolas Gage as Antonius and Vin Diesel as Death in my head, surrounded by an awful rap soundtrack and big, ugly CGI effects by Lucasfilm ...

I'm Heather Langenkamp's husband in another universe.

I would love to see a really stupid remake of this, i will allways have the original and it will forever be in my collection but i really love seeing hollywood making asses of them self with these stupid pointless remakes like "let the right one in" and "oldboy" i just find it hilarious.

but i would never pay to see it though..

"Let Me In" was actually very entertaining, if not particularly great. It's not as good as the original, I'll admit.

If they remake "The Seventh Seal," it won't be funny-stupid. It'll be serious-boring. Liam Neeson is in everything these days, so I'm sure he'll be the Max von Sydow role. Death will be played by Andy Serkis or Sam Worthington. It will be terrible.

Janet! Donkeys!

Elvis Presley would have never been casted in a serious movie like"The Seventh Seal"because nobody in hollywood took him serious as an actor.

They'd probably cast Ben Stiller as Antonius Block, Owen Wilson as Jons, Will Farrell as Death, and Meagan Fox as Mia.

Coming Fall 2015, a new M. Night Shyamalan film: "The Seventh Seal"

I am Jack's cold sweat.

^^^^ Hahaha. It'd have a nice cushy ending too with suddenly the second night changing up his tone, the first knight having a glimmer of hope, and Death smirking and giving them a pass.

Let me in wasn't that bad, The girl with the dragon tattoo is a fantastic closer to the book version with superior cinematography, score, script and editing than the Swedish version.

I think a remake will never happen, it wouldn't be marketable.

In the end Death would let everybody off, except the atheist and the loafer and his wastrel wife.
