Coming to US DVD-R remastered, on July 7th, 2015

The Warner Archives MOD program is remastering this film from the original negatives for a release on July 7th, 2015. That's good news, because the older, existing TV print (TNT and TBS) was not up to snuff. This will be the premiere of the film in US home video. It hasn't previously been released, not even on VHS. Well, there was a bootleg VHS under a phony title, but that doesn't count.

watched a TV recording to see if I'd want the improved dvd, but for me, it was only worth watching once.
Given the bitter Confederate content, I wonder if its release is just a coincidence with topical events (the Confederate flag flac in South Carolina) or not.
