shareI finally got to watch it last night because I had recorded it since I was not at home on the night it was shown and I was not disappointed. In my opinion it was a great movie. But just to let you know my wife watched it with me and when it was over said "That was a waste of time." So you have two opinions there. The best thing is for one to watch it and decide for themself. It is true it is talky and not much action until the last five minutes except for a one minute fistfight at about 35 minutes into the movie. But in my opinion that is why it is great. It is a talky but a great psychological movie with character disclosures. I hope you like it. I highly recommend you watch it. I will let you know when the Encore Western shows it again which I am sure they will. These Fred MacMurray westerns made in the 50s are above average ones as are the ones with Randolph Scott.
shareI watched on 'Dave' (UK channel) this afternoon and must say I agree with you; the tension constantly rose throughout the film; each time you think things are going to explode into violence nothing comes of it so when the action does come it feels all the more exciting. I'd never heard of it before but I'm glad I caught it.
I'm only going to say this once: stay out of Camberwick Green - Sam Tyler
Encore Westerns shows these in unwatchable full screen versions. The Universal Vault release is widescreen, which makes all the difference for a CinemaScope film such as Quantez.
