I love Kubrick so far. 2001, The Shining, and A Clockwork Orange are some of my favorite films, and Dr. Strangelove was also good. But I just didn't enjoy Paths of Glory. It wasn't bad, but just not to my taste I guess. I'll give it another try in a few months probably.

Yes it's not like those other films you mentioned. Give it another try, as you say. If you still don't care much for it, so be it. We all have varying tastes.

I didn't care much for it the first time I saw it, but after some viewings, it really grew on me and now is one of my favorite movies of all time.
