Does this movie deserve a Remake?

I was watching it this morning on TCM and even if I don't side with the Green Peace anti Oil people I was thinking this movie could be remade today using the Arguments for and against Fracking. Like what would happen if we hit a deposit of E112 while fracking or the E112 was exposed due to fracking. I could see a movie using that.

There is more Gravy about you then the Grave. Scrooge.

An updated remake of this film concerning the hazardous consequences of fracking would be cool.

Just watched this one on dailymotion its a bit like crack in the world. but crack is a better movie.
