First Tier Low Buget Sci-Fi, IMHO
Tim Holt's performance, the exotic Salton Sea setting, the cute little girl, and the outstanding monster makes this an exceptional retro sci-fi experience.

it is head and shoulders above most large monster fifties films. i was pleasantly surprised. one thing i really enjoyed are several lines, which seem incredibly random, interjected in spaces where they really deviate course from the standard film of this type (or any type from the '50s). almost david lynch-like randomness...
