The little girl

The little girl played by Mimi Gibson didn't mind her mother at all! It's a wonder she didn't get punished earlier in the movie.

I'm watchin' "The Monster That Challenged The World" now (TCM)
and I understand what you're sayin' about the little girl. To me, this actually is a pretty good movie, with some good acting.

She'd be perfect in a Spielberg film, he always uses precocious brats... Everytime she was on I was rooting for the mollusk.

The Monster That Challenged The World? More like "The Monster That Caused A Ruckus In Imperial Valley".

Yes, what a naughty little girl! Just caught this old classic flick on TCM and she deserved being almost eaten for turning up the heat and unleashing that monster snail. I did feel sorry for the poor rabbits that it did kill tho... hehe

Then again, the movie ends with Terwilliger telling the little girl that she could go swimming again. Considering it was too soon to be certain whether all the monster snails were gone, maybe he had gotten tired of her too...

LOL!!!

Is she any kin to Timmy (from Lassie)?

That's the kind of stuff he did!!

Too bad Lassie wasn't around there!.

She was a brat. Almost got them killed in the end.

I think she really minded her mother. She minded being told what to do and what not to do!

You used minded to mean obeyed, and I used minded to mean resented.
