Name of piece?
What is the original name of the melancholy, often-repeated theme in the movie that I think is a classical music piece? Da-da-da-da-da-da-DAH-da...sort of a slow sad waltz?
thanks

If you're thinking of the music that plays during the Main Title, makeup montage and elsewhere in various guises; the soundtrack identifies it as "Box of Tricks" by Frank Skinner.
The other likely theme you might be thinking of, is the "Mata Cara (Mother's Love) Theme", played whenever Celia Lovsky appears (especially during the opening childhood sequence and again later when she counsels him on the front porch.
The score is original to the film and was composed by Skinner.
"If you don't know the answer -change the question."
It sounds "inspired" by the Chopin prelude in E minor.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiwPzHJ-Pic&list=RDHiwPzHJ-Pic#t=0
