Did anyone else think that the ending...

...would be one of those "it was all a dream" cop-outs? We see the kid fall asleep before the plot really starts, and that's usually a "dream ending" warning. I was positive it would be!

He "fell asleep" because, he was being hypnotized by the "super computer". The "it was all a dream" could have been that a boy who has never ever beat his father in chess, beats him in 6 moves and a boy who doesn't know how many 1/24s are in 1 and 1/4 (The answer is 30 by the way), can put together and program a robot, which professors, scientists and doctors can't figure out.

Now that I think about Timmie was a brat who liked to get into trouble and did not want to learn to get good at chess and did not want to learn math, who when he was put in front of a computer, fell asleep.

The boy with a baseball cap, I was thinking Theodore Cleaver AKA The Beaver from Leave it to Beaver and his name was Timmie, I was thinking Lassie. Both shows were on when this movie came out Leave It to Beaver (April 23,1957–1963) and Lassie (1954–1974) this movie came out The Invisible Boy Release Date: October 1957
