No doubt cat (name is Orangey) sequence was the best in the film. Orangey is so cute!!

shareIf you like Orangy, see the 1951 movie Rhubarb.
A cat enherits a baseball team. Orangy is the star. (Although uncredited)
I believe it was his first movie.
I agree. The cat was cute. I love cats. Although ... they may be cute, but to their prey they are gruesome killers ! And incredibly strong ... I realize the cat couldn't kill our little hero. That would of course ruin the film.
But frankly ... there'd be no way he could outrun the cat ! There'd be no way he would survive an encounter with such a strong creature. Remember the size difference ... the cat would tear him to pieces. Probably take his time too ! I've watched my cat "play" with a little mouse ... he was in no hurry.
And if anyone feel like asking ... why didn't I help the mouse ? Because I accept that cat's are hunters and because it was his business. He was only following his instincts.
Frank Booth: You stay alive, baby. Do it for Van Gogh.
I've cats myself and they are just the best pets, you could watch them for ages with all the things they get up to. I did think that what would his wife do with the poor cat!!! I mean it wasnt the cats fault, but he did eat her husband!!! (or so she thought!)
shareOf the two outstanding animal thespians in this film, the spider was the better actor. Or at least she had the meatier part. In fact both Orangey and the uncredited spider made stronger impressions than most of the "big" actors. Just goes to show that "there are no small parts, only small actors."
