I know this may sound stupid, or a bit odd to ask...
...but what type of cake was that, that Louise left in the basement that later ends up to be Scott's only source of nourishment of appetite?
OBVIOUSLY

If I remember correctly, iy was xheese (for the mousetrap). WHich brings up another question: How is it that the cheese didn't get moldy? And how could he just live off cheese???
shareNo, he distinctly says he is going to eat the "cake" that Louise left down in the basement earlier when she was ironing. But it doesn't say what kind. It didn't have frosting! The fake prop cake just looked like plastic.
shareAnd why would she purposely put the cake next to a huge spider web?
shareSome time had passed. Perhaps the spider built the web after the cake was left.
The cake looked kinda like pound cake to me. If it started to mold, he was probably hungry enough to just eat around the mold.
kinda funny that there is question about the cake here, as I am now reminded that there was a similar question on the message board for spiderman 2. a thread that was literally a mile long. longest ever I have seen. was it chocolate cake that peter parker was served by the landlords' daughter...?
I can answer that...That "GIANT" spider web isn't giant to us normal sized humans, but to mico-sized humans it is GIANT.
Put another way, when Scott was big, the cat was harmless. But when Scott became 1 inch tall, that small cat was HUGE to him and VERY dangerous!

I don't know what kind of cake it was but we can rule out it wasn't a Carvel chocolate ice cream cake
shareI knew what that was, hello carrot!!!!
