Coming to DVD - February 17, 2009

Yes, I know its a long way off, but finally this great film is coming to DVD. I have seen it 2 or 3 times by borrowing the video from the library. It seems that this out of all of the Paul Newman films is the one people either have never seen or forget about. Although it is Ann Blyth's picture, Newman is none the less messmerizing playing a real cad....(does anyone use that word anymore or am I dating myself?????????) Anyway... very glad to be able to purchase my own copy and view it whenever I feel the need for a Paul Newman 'fix'.

Well here it is over two years later and I finally bought it on Amazon today. Haven't seen it
since 1957. Can't wait! Loved the movie, loved the music!! As a young girl back then,
it was a sad love story, I felt her pain and thought Blyth was great. Newman was believable
as the sexy cad, who wouldn't fall for that guy!
I did get the opportunity to see Goggi Grant sing a few years ago, her voice was still
strong and she did sing a couple songs from the movie.
Ah can't wait for my DVD to arrive and go back in time.
