Scenes reused from movie to movie.
In "Geography" I suggest that some scenes in the Guns of Fort Petticoat were filmed in a movie fort set used in other movies, or maybe were clips from previous movies.
It was quite common to reuse scenes from previous movies in the same genre.
The IMDB section on the Guns of Fort Petticoat, connections section, says: "Edited into Land Raiders (1969) Scenes from the Guns of Fort Petticoat are used for this movies Indian Village attack."
Today 10-08-2017 I just noticed another use of scenes from the Guns of Fort Petticoat, brief clips of the cavalry lining up right before the massacre at Sand Creek. The Time Tunnel episode "Massacre" has a scene of Major Reno's valley fight at the Little Big Horn.
It starts with a shot of the cavalry lining up among saguaro cactci from The Guns of Fort Petticoat, cuts to a shot of John Pickard as Major Reno drawing his saber and yelling charge, and cuts to another shot of the cavalry starting to charge from The Guns of Fort Petticoat. And then it continues with most but not all of the big battle scene from Buffalo bill (1944).
So The Time Tunnel episode "Massacre" depicts the historic Reno valley fight at the Little Big Horn on June 25 1876 by combining scenes from two different movies that depicted the historic Sand Creek Massacre in November 1864 and the historic Battle at Warbonnett Creek in July 1876.
