the music was awsome
Who else here thought the music was cool.
sharei do. the mysterians has been one of my favorites movies ever and one of the reasons was the awsome mmilitary music during the batlle scenes. i've tried to get it over interne but no luck. know where it is.
shareThe Tokyo Shock DVD version from 2005 has a track with the isolated score (music only). Sounds great.
shareIt has been almost fifty years since I saw this movie and the battle scene music is still playing in my head. And I can still hear the cheers of the Saturday Matinee crowd of kids at two points: when they report that America is joining the fight (Yaaayy!) and when the Mysterians' lightning-like ray that had previously destroyed one of the wingless flying ships just bounces off the new and improved model. (YAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!) Without that great music psyching everyone up, that second cheer would not have been half so loud.
(Second childhood? No, this is still the first one.)
I have to agree that the music for this movie is terrific! Even now(in my head) I can hear the theme for the climactic battle scene between the forces of Earth and the alien Mysterians. I was a kid when I first saw it on a saturday afternoon TV matinee show in the '60s and fell in love with it then. I didn't see it again until years later as an adult and I still thought it was brilliant. This movie had very good special effects for its time. I'd like to see it again.
shareYOU CAN!! There is, believe it or else, an IMPROVED version (remix) of the Big Battle on YouTube!
YE must be born again
I have to agree that the music is awesome, especially the Mysterians Battle Theme. It gives the feeling that you're witnessing something epic. It's second only to Ifukube's "Godzilla March."

YES! I love the music in this film, a great classic film score by the legendary Akira Ifukube. The "Mysterians March" in the battle scenes is by far only secondary to the "Godzilla March" by Ifukube from the original GOJIRA/GODZILLA movie (1955/1956).
Dejael
I loved the score; it was quite robust and rousing throughout.
Nobody does W.C. Fields singing "Mama Told Me Not to Come" better than Paul Frees.
very cool indeed When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...
