It's a Ford-but what year and model is it?
shareI was looking at some clips of M Squad on youtube, and it looks like a 1957 Ford sedan, i havent ordered the DVD's yet, but im going to for sure!

Frank drives a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 (the model was named after the Ford estate--- Jack Webb also drove a less flashy 1967 Fairlane 4-door in the reincarnated Harry Morgan Dragnets). The car industry went whole hog on 4-headlight designs in '58 (also a recession year, and sales went south) and cars generally got boxier and uglier. Most car guys consider the 1957 model year (unveiled in September '56) to be the pinnacle of 1950's auto design--- and every major U.S. auto maker back then was working on a 3-year design schedule (using full size clay mock ups), so those beautiful '57's were all a product of 1953 design mentality.
shareCompared to a 57 chevy, Ford was way ahead of their time in design. It was 59 before Chevy had a similar boxier design that continued through the 60s and further.
