Roy Barcroft, frequent guest star on HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL

Roy Barcroft appeared several times on the show and deserves a tribute thread himself. Especially good in the episode "Long Weekend" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0597544/combined), where he plays an indomitable miner who comes to town every 6 months to whoop it up and tear it down. Paladin is hired to keep him in check -- "don't shoot him if you don't have to".

the dean of western bad guys...
from what i've read about him he was a true gentleman and a bit of a prankster.
he liked to hide the toupees of the leading men in some of his films.
