Did anyone else have any HGWT themed toys?

I must have been five or six, and one Christmas I received from my Godmother a "Have Gun-Will travel" western outfit. It consisted of a black hat, a two-gun (I think) holster set (with the knight chess pieces on each holster), and a wallet that contained some of the famous business cards and photo of Richard Boone. I remember handing them out to people, then asking for them back.

"Walked five miles to school and back, uphill both ways. No, really, I have pictures." MC Escher

Don't think so, but I don't really remember. I have a single memory of an episode of HGWT from the final season. It's one memory I have of my paternal grandmother. I don't know why I have so few of her except that she passed when I was so young. There are more stories of her in my memory than memories, so I treasure this one.

When I see this episode, I can remember her voice and her face. It's called BROTHER'S KEEPER. It will always be one of my favorite episodes because of that memory. She explained some plot points to me. There was a bit of humor in it as well. The Sheriff asked Paladin why he didn't ride out of town, and he responded with great exasperation, 'Because I don't have a horse!'

Richard Boone was good at comedy but it had to be the role had to be right.

They must have been hot items then because I had the guns, holster, and the cards tool. I must have been about 10 so now I am giving away my age. I hope the pilot goes well but it will probably have to be on one of the cable channels since the networks don't have good luck with westerns on TV anymore. Also, on something like AMC or FX they would be able to write more realistic material which is a must for westerns today. I am not necessarily talking about extreme adult material like on Deadwood but even material like what was on Lonesome Dove, the Outlaw Years. A western above all has to be realistic to the period to which it is set in.Good luck.

I don't think so. I do have an old photo somewhere of me standing in the backyard watching my dad work on my bike and in the photo I have a Have Gun Will Travel t-shirt on and also a pair of Converse All Star tennis shoes on. I do currently have a "Rifleman" cap rifle by Hubley and also a Rifleman lunchbox w/thermos by Aladdin as well as a Cheyenne "singing carbine" air rifle w/the original box by the Daisy company. Love those old westerns. I even have an actual 44/40 cartridge that was fired from the actual rifle Lucas McCain used in the show.
