The way Dorothy Malone is playing with that small oil tower... An obvious phallic reference. I wonder how it passed the censors.

The Marylee character is shown as picking up the men, not being pursued by any man during the story.

She lures the Hadley gas station attendant (with her father's Hadley oil-drilling field in the backround - That's a hoot of a scene!) and winds up having the attendant tell Dad that she's a tramp.

Why would an attractive woman - who's slightly crazy - have to be constantly on the make? Men are pictured as thinking of her as a black widow spider.
