Dana Andrews-Sally Forrest romance worst part of decent film
I don't want to take the time to write a user review. Just want to say two quick points:
(1) the thing that dragged the movie down the most for me was the endless, repetitive, boring love banter between Andrews and Forrest. It was boring, and it also took up too much time in the movie. Their little squabbles were overheard by everyone in the office, so it drew them in too. You could fault the writers, but also Forrest's blandness, and her "severe" short hair turned me off too. The age difference didn't help. No chemistry. As others pointed out, he'd be better off with Ida Lapino.
(2) That simple logo for Kyne Enterprises (stick figure capital "K" inside a circle) is very similar to the "K" logo in that other newspaper movie, Citizen Kane.
