Widescreen and trapeze flying
I saw this movie in a non cineplex, hugely wide screen theater way back when. The aerial shots, and the use of Cinemascope to capture them were breath taking.
Especially great was how the wide angled camera was turned in mid action to capture the flyers as they went from one trapeze bar, to the catcher and back to the original trapeze bar. Absolutely stunning.
