When is Trapeze coming to DVD?

Here is a film that begs for DVD. It has all the makings of a great DVD release, with wide screen, great action, great actors and great direction. This movie needs to be issued on DVD!!

Trapeze is actually available in the UK on DVD. It's only £5 and can be found at www.amazon.co.uk or www.play.com

I'm ordering mine right now!!

I'm just watching the region 2 UK DVD and it's quite nice. I'd read that it was completely faded, but, as usual, the person who posted that has no idea what they're talking about (what else is new). It's slightly faded, but perfectly acceptable, color-wise. It's enhanced for widescreen TVs at 2:35. Not a great transfer, but very watchable and the movie remains wonderful.

It's coming out in Australia on the 13th of June 2005 which is a week from now basically.

is it my imagination or not?
why does it seem like so many movies are released in dvd in overseas countries
before or never being released in u.s.a on dvd?

There is also a german RC-2-DVD of this film available. It features German and English language tracks. It can be found at www.amazon.de under the title TRAPEZ.

I ordered a DVD of "Trapeze" from Amazon. The DVD is from Korea, while it isn't the very best transfer it is perfectly acceptable and very watchable. I've enjoyed it tremendously!

I don't understand why the American company doesn't release an offical DVD of this movie in the states, they're losing money by not doing so.

It is availible from Amazon in a widescreen 16:9 transfer for region 1. The print is alittle worn.

It was released years ago on laserdisc. Good copy. I was fortunate enough to
find it on laserdisc, because i could later transfer the movie to dvd, and, latter, to my computer. I love this movie i feel sad i had to have so much trouble to get it. Sad that lots of fantastic older movies are being forgotten nowadays...

It's been a while since this post.... There are at least 15 dealers on Amazon.com selling new DVD copies of "Trapeze" (Lancaster/Curtis/Lollobrigida) starting at a bit over $15.00.

How is the quality?
