The Abandoned Fort.

I remember from seeing War Arrow (1954) long ago that at the end the protagonists, chased by hostile Indians, retreat to an abandoned fort.

But watching War Arrow (1954) more recently I didn't see that scene, and wondered if it was cut from some versions of the movie.

And then I recently watched Quincannon, Frontier scout (1956) and at the end the protagonists are being chased by hostile Arapahos and they head for the abandoned stone fort and take refuge there.

So I guess that I actually remembered than scene from seeing Quincannon, Frontier scout (1956) long ago.

The fort scenes were filmed at Pipe Spring National Monument in northern Arizona. Mormons built a stone fort, eventually called Winsor Castle, there to guard the valuable springs. The fort at Pipe Springs was used in the filming of some Death Valley Days episodes and a few other movies and tv shows.
