Good Old British Humor !

At inspector Lomax (Jack Warner) 1st appearance in his office,
with all the agitation going around him about the crashing rocket,
we hear him asking his assistant "have you got it ?".
Then the assistant diligently brings him some device to plug into another
wired device : turns out it 's the adapter for his electric razor !
As a True British Gentleman, he 's very keen at shaving and wearing a tie, even during emergencies.
Only a little later do we get to see his stubbed face.

Toward the end in Westminster Abbey, when the technician 's fastening the
electric cable to the metal scaffold where the supposedly blob-like monster 's resting, a close-up reveals it to have an octopus eye !
