just caught the movie on cable, on close up you can see the ends of the applied scar on Ahab's face.
shareI can't help but believe that Ahab's facial scar was a metaphor for the deeply profound inner scarring of his conflicted nature. Not the least of which was his deep knowledge that he was in a chase he can never possibly win...but is, nevertheless, compelled to do it.
