Music soundtrack vs sound effects - which is which. Distracting and weird choice.
I know the sound effects and sound track were considered revolutionary but I did not like being able to tell the difference between the sound effects and the sound track score especially in the beginning.
it is unclear and frankly annoying - what is ship's engine noise and what is the sound track
At times when it is completely silent, you find you actually have a minute to process what is happening.
I think a traditional orchesteral score for the troopers and the otherwordly Forbidden Planet electronic synthetic score sould have been much better.
