I was blown away (pun intended) by how much action was in this film; very impressive for stop motion effects in 1956. That's the great thing about this classic sci-fi production; besides it's selling point for collateral damage and carnage, it offers a rather hopeful outlook that cooler heads can prevail even in the mist of atomic warfare, when looking deeper into the film's subtext.
