I know the Simpson's Halloween episodes have resident aliens in flying saucers Kang and Kodos, but it's too bad they didn't do a Halloween special segment outright spoofing EVTFS. Sigh..
In the Golden Years of The Simpsons, they might have done it. But once the quality writers departed, the quality went with it. Whereas The Simpsons often lampooned many things from the past (like Burns asking Smithers to use the Faxtrola or driving a curved dash Olds car, or wearing leather football garb), I doubt the new crop of writers even heard of this American B Movie Classic. Sigh indeed..
