raymond burr pegs the 'creep factor' meter

as he so often did at this point in his career... i LOVE it.

Yes!

Check out those eyes and the look on his face at the beginning of the film, where his character is watching the couples in their cars at Lover Lane.

Haha, those eyes alone creeped me out!

More like the 'cheese factor' meter - but of course he's not the only one hamming it up in this silly "psychological melodrama" which the film aspires to be, wasting a good cast on this third rate material. And Burr's more sad than threatening anyway.

"facts are stupid things" - Ronald Reagan

That's a plus, not a negative. 

Sure, it's a not a great movie, definitely there's some really hammy acting especially the scenes at Edmond O'Brien Det. Taggart's house --OMG! He didn't like his sisters boyfriend, Oh. My. God.!!!-- and the scenes with Harold's mom and it's all a little too reliant on cops figuring out stuff with no evidence but it's over quickly (75 minutes), has some nice shots of mid-50's Los Angeles and it's got a nice score. A weak 6/10 for me.

yeah... too bad the movie as never translated into "moron" so you could understand it. and you really should do some homework on your signature:

"In his address to the 1988 Republican National Convention, Ronald Reagan introduced a section of his speech with the words:

"Before we came to Washington, Americans had just suffered the two worst back-to-back years of inflation in 60 years. Those are the facts, and as John Adams said, ?Facts are stubborn things.?"

This paragraph, and the following four paragraphs, finished with Adams?s words. However, at the end of the third paragraph, Reagan made a verbal slip, which he immediately corrected. A transcript of the speech reads,

"Facts are stupid things ? stubborn things, should I say. [Laughter]."

However, despite its origin as a slip of the tongue, "Facts are stupid things" has taken on a life of its own in the world of quotations by those ignorant of... the facts."

---

"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."

-- John Adams

"umm... uhh... ummm" -- Barack Obama

Years later, but worth replying to. I have seen that idiot called out multiple times over his out of context signature. It basically discredits his hundreds of posts across the old boards. Funny how a guy who wants to use facts to discredit a politician he dislikes, ends up looking like an utter moron by the use of facts contained in what he stole the line from. Thanks for calling him out.

Yes, the "Facts are stupid things" Reagan-mocking guy certainly needs to do some research, but he might not be intelligent enough.
