Most quoted movie?

“Get it? Got it. Good.” Every since seeing this movie 5 years ago it has felt like I hear this phrase everywhere- conversations, commercials, ect. I don’t think that half the time people even know that they are reciting a movie quote; it has just become part of our vocabulary, better than any other movie extract I know off. Does anyone else hear this quote a lot?

Yes, and also almost everyone I know uses "chalice from the palace" or "vessel with the pestle" as a synonym for tongue-twister (well, people my age or older at least).

I use it all the time!

I think, "Go ahead, make my day." is used about as much as any movie line. Personally I don't remember anyone using "Get it? Got it. Good." in a normal conversation or commercial, but only when the film is remembered by a fan.

Oh Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see...

I've been using that quote for 30 years now - I've always loved old movies. I haven't heard anyone use it except for me. :-D

Yeah, that line's also used in Se7en.

This is heavy!

Definitely one of the most quoted movies. That quote has so completely entered the American lexicon that most people probably don't even know it's from a movie, let alone which one.

"He's already attracted to her. Time and monotony will do the rest."

I heard people say "Get it? Got it. Good." a lot when I was a kid in the 80s, and I didn't realize where that came from until I saw this movie tonight (I'm assuming this movie is where that came from).

You have clearance, Clarence.
What's our vector, Victor?

Most a lot? Yes. Most quoted? It's up there, but I don't think it's the top.

"Here's looking at you, kid."

"I am shocked... SHOCKED... to find (fill in the blank)."

"Play it again, Sam.
" (A misquote, but we know the source.)

It was often quote within my family and friends and it always depends on the era of course but I think Monty Python's "Life of Brian" has been quote more often. More importantly: It still gets quoted while The Court Jester is almost forgotten by now.
