song lyrics

Does anyone know the title of and/or the lyrics of the song at the beginning and end of Bus Stop? The first line is "I'll give to you a paper of pins and that is how our love begins".

"The Bus Stop Song" (also known as "A Paper of Pins") is a popular song.

It was written by Ken Darby in 1956.

It is best known in a recording, made on July 17, 1956, by The Four Lads. This recording was released by Columbia Records as catalog number 40736. It first reached the Billboard magazine charts on September 15, 1956. On the Disk Jockey chart, it peaked at #17; on the Best Seller chart, at #22; on the composite chart of the top 100 songs, it reached #23. The flip side was "A House with Love in It."

Its lyrics:

I'll give to you a paper of pins
And that's the way our love begins
If you will marry me, me, me
If you will marry me

I'll give to you a feathery bed
With downy pillows for your head
If you will marry me, me, me
If you will marry me

But you don't want my paper of pins
And you don't want my feathery bed
You want my house and money instead
That is plain to see

Well here they are take everything
My house, my money, my wedding ring
And in the bargain I'll throw in me
If you will marry me
