NO. In the two hour stage play, the entire story takes place inside a Bus Stop. Bo has kidnapped Cherie to marry her and the bus is snow bound at the Bus Stop. So, the players have to wait it out until morning when the road is clear. During this time, Bo Decker becomes a gentleman and Cherie changes her feelings for Bo and decides to go with him to Montana on her own and marry him.

In the movie, we have scenes in the bar where Cherie worked when Bo meets her in Phoenix, Arizona as he is going to participate in the rodeo the next day. Bo falls for Cherie instantly and declares that they are going to be married.

Further scenes in the movie include the Rodeo parade through Phoenix, the actual rodeo events where Bo is riding and roping and Cherie and her friend are in the stands watching. Then, Cherie tries to escape from the bar when Bo comes in after the rodeo. Cherie makes it to the bus station, buys a one-way ticket to Los Angeles. But, Bo follows her and actually lasso's her as she is getting on the bus. Next, they are on another bus headed north to Montana when it starts to snow. Scenes in the bus as Cherie asks Elma for help while Bo and his sidekick Virgil are sleeping. They are all stranded at the bus stop due to snow. Bo and the bus driver have a real fist fight outside in the snow and Bo is licked and he promises to be a gentleman towards Cherie. Finally, Bo wins over Cherie's heart and he mellow out. When the snow clears and the roads are opened the next day, Bo and Cherie get back on the bus for Montana to get married. His sidekick Virgil stays behind because he knows that he doesn't have to take care of Virgil any longer and that Cherie will be a good wife to Bo. The movie ends with Bo and Cherie saying goodbye from the bus window and the bus pulls away for Montana.

The movie is called "Bus Stop" obviously, because, it is at the bus stop that all the final turn of events takes place.
