Deleted Scene?

Was the infamous monologue that Marilyn was so distraught over Logan cutting ever filmed? Or was it simply removed from the script? If it was filmed, has anyone seen it? Is it available anywhere? I'd like to see the monologue that Marilyn was so sure would have won her the oscar.

I wonder why they won't make that available to the public. I would love to see that!

Wait a minute! I smell liquor on my breath: You're drunk!

I think they should include it as an extra on a special edition DVD of some sort.

This is the first time hearing about a missing deleted scene from Bus Stop. My first thought was that it was a love or bedroom scene since the censors didn't like extended kisses and such during the time. However, it was due to the length of the film. Where was this monolog given?

According to a Marilyn biography I read the scene took place on the bus and Cherie talks about how she's had a difficult life. Apparently the scene was around 5 mins long and Marilyn had been worried about performing such a long monologue but was really pleased with the end result. Cant believe they cut it! i'd love to see it.

She filmed it, and it included a great deal of MM weeping on cue, as Cherie talked about her past. Apparently it was superb, but cut from the film. (FOX never gave her her due, and perhaps they felt with that scene, they would HAVE to work on getting her an Oscar nomination. They didn't, but campaigned for Don Murray! And he WAS nominated. What a slap to MM.)

Also cut was a scene at the bus station as Cherie tries to change out of her costume but is interrupted by the little boy, and another scene where Cherie is reading a "True Romance" magazine to the kids as a bedtime story! (Still photos exist from these deleted scenes.)
