Betty Field
I loved Betty Field in this film, she was simply trem-en-dous! She asserted her own character which in no way infringed upon the star Monroe, or anyone else. She kind of did a Mae West drag which really suited her. She also was great in Of Mice and Men. Having just recently seen this film again I think Monroe should have gotten an Oscar for this performance, at the very least a nomination. And, that was the very least Hollywood could have done for one of the biggest stars it would ever see. It also was foolish of Colonel Parker not to allow Elvis to star opposite MM. We would have been talking about that matchup for the next century.
