I've never seen a movie single-handledly ruined by one actor

Seriously, Don Murray's character completely destroyed any chance of this being even a semi-enjoyable film.

At least when actors like Jim Carrey act that way, we know that they are crazy.
But this movie was hardly a comedy, and Bo was supposed to be "normal."

Worst acting I've ever seen.

Agree! Turned the thing off after about the first 15 minutes of that Neanderthal.

reply

Agree. I though he was retarded.

The acting may be fine, but the character was such a dumb galoot, he was hard to watch.

reply

That's a shame you feel that way. I thought his dopeyness is what made the film so great. It was embarrassing and awkward, but that's how he was supposed to be. If he had been a charming gentleman there wouldn't have been a story

That guy sent me into a violent Anakin Skywalker in Episode II flashback. Unbelievable.
