"Around the World in 80 Days (1956) had four future Oscar winners: David Niven (Best Actor 1958), John Gielgud (Best Supporting Actor 1981), John Mills (Best Supporting Actor 1970, and Shirley MacLaine (Best Actress 1983). This film also had four previous Oscar winners in its cast: Ronald Colman, Charles Coburn, Frank Sinatra and Victor McLaglen.
So, I wonder if any film has had more Oscar winners in its cast?
I know one time someone listed all the ones in The Player. It was more than 8, I think.
shareLooking at the list of cameos provided on wiki, and counting non-acting wins, I saw 13 without researching anyone in-depth.
shareChecking the "full cast and crew" list here (why go to Wiki?) I get the same number of Oscar winners and nominees -- 13. (Eight winners and 5 nominees.)
However, in checking a couple of other random big-star epics, I found as expected that this is by no means the record. The Longest Day featured 16 Oscar-nominated or -winning actors (6 winners, 10 nominees), and How the West Was Won had 17 -- (7 winners, 10 nominees). I'm sure there are other films in that league.
A Bridge too Far is one that stands out to me. 12 cast members nominated and of those 6 won. (Before and after that film) The Oscar winners in the cast are Sean Connery, Michael Caine, Anthony Hopkins, Gene Hackman, Laurence Olivier, and Maximilian Schell.
If Oscars for directing count as well then it goes up to 8 - Robert Redford and Richard Attenborough are also in it.

Redford was also one of the unsuccessful acting nominees in Bridge. Can we count him twice, even though they were for different Oscars?
Most of those grand-scale epics of that period featured lots of Oscar winners and nominees. Spartacus, for example, had 12 also. Though curiously, a massive film like Ben-Hur had I believe only four. Fun topic.

But to join in, The Big Country doesn't top any listed, but it did have three winners and three other nominees.
Pepe has, I believe 9 Oscar winners, and a few more with nominations.
