Just saw this today at the AFI in Silver Spring, MD
Even though it WAS 70mm Todd-AO, and supposedly 30 fps, sadly, it was a VERY faded print. It had a distinctly pinkish hue. The sound, fortunately, was in much better shape - full 6 track stereo, with lots of good directionality. I just wanted to put out an alert to anyone going to see this film...this could be the print you end up watching. This is very unfortunate, as it is indeed a very good film (except for maybe Shirley Maclaine's casting), and as a best picture Oscar winner, deserves a restoration. Fans of this movie shouldn't have to watch this film in the current state that it's in.
