New soundtrack CD available

Hi everyone, this film has always fascinated me, ever since I saw at 9 years old in it's original release in the mid 1950's. I had the LP record years ago and later the CD, which I accidentally damaged recently, and somehow the copy I made on my IPOD got deleted (Apple does that sometimes). Anyway, I went to amazon.com and found out there is a new extended release CD available. I ordered, received and just listened to it for the first time. It truly is extended (70 minutes) and
sounds different than then the older version. I think they took the actual soundtrack from the film, thereby revealing something I have found out from studying other older films: the supposedly "soundtrack LP record" of old was not actually that. It was a later facsimile version redone and tailored for an easy listening experience. Will listen to it again and have more comments. Excellent booklet and notes, the old CD had none at all.
P.S. Just listened to it again, I like it. Fuller, richer than the old version.
Victor Young's greatest film score and one of his last. The exit music at the end contains bits and pieces of music used throughout the film, including the actual bullfight introduction music which was altered for later easy listening on both the LP and CD. Michael Todd would be gone a few years later too...sad...RIP guys...
