Just saw it at the Forum yesterday and it was great. The crowd was older but there were some great reactions and applause at the end. Not bad for 4:40 in the afternoon.
The film has definately been remastered and you can actually see the remastering effect at reel changes where it looks like they didn't remaster the first 2-3 seconds. Odd but interesting to see how much better they can make a film look with current technology. That probably means a dvd release is on the way very soon so keep you eyes peeled.
I just saw VS at the Forum this evening (its last) -- big crowd, of many ages, and they seemed to really get into it (this was the 6:30 showing). The new print is good, so let's hope this is indeed a precursor to a DVD release sometime in the very near future.
