shareNo.
1) RWAC has nothing to do with race. Nothing.
2) RWAC has everything to do with teenagers raised
2a) in the shadow of WWII (knowing that the cold war means they'll never be called upon to match the personal honor & integrity of the previous generation that saved the world with their bare hands).
2b) in the shadow of the H-Bomb (the "end of the universe" sequence in the planetarium is a metaphor for the nuclear threat of Armageddon) and what that does to young people's sense of control over their lives & futures.
2c) with too much wealth and not enough adult guidance.
2a and 2b are very much of 1955, and we can't duplicate 1955 (certainly not with blacks, who didn't have 2c to deal with at that time).

I strongly disagree like the previous commenter. The movie is about what rich spoiled brats. Notice that they live in what looks like suburbia and many of them have cars which in 50s was probably a bigger deal than it is now. When we see some of their dads they're known at police station and it seems.
It is very different from a typical black teenager today.

i'd like to see that. Directed by Spike Lee.
