Brando or Dean?

Brando! James Dean had the misfortune of dying young and also the blessing. Without that event he wouldn't be so celebrated. Just a regular actor with charisma and a loyal fanbase .

Brando. James Dean was too laid back in his roles. I never viewed him as a chameleon.

Dean was always better actor.

There's something wrong with Esther.

Brando, easily. He was the first actor to really act the way he did. Dean wasn't alive long enough to show the range that Brando has through out his career. Dean was also styled to be another Brando but his acting chops weren't as good. He was good, don't get me wrong but Brando was definitely better. I don't know how anyone could say Dean over Brando, to be honest.

Dean was a Brando imitator who died without having the chance to gain the experience Brando had. Brando was a sometimes very good, sometimes hammy actor, but there were many excellent naturalistic actors before him, contrary to what the mythology tells us.

Brandean.

Brando! Much better actor, much hotter man.

Although I will allow that Dean has a better filmography, on average. Brando made about 100 paycheck stinkers for every good film, while *all* of Dean's major films are good to very good. That happens with long careers.
