Bad dubbing....
The Goofs section has:
When Kim Novak is in the swan boat she says "Hi" to William Holden but her lips do not move.
But there's a more blatant example later when Hal and Madge have driven away from the picnic and are by the water's edge.
Hal: What's the use, baby? I'm a bum. She saw through me like an X-ray machine. There's no place in the world for a guy like me.
Madge: Oh, but there's got to be. Look, don't pay any attention to her. You are young.
'Look don't pay any attention to her' is clearly dubbed.
Unfortunately, this doesn't save Madge's pep talk in this scene from being particularly weak. share
