I would kill for this on blu-ray

What with the crappy dvd that was released a few years ago it's about time this film recieved some love. The cinematography, the soundtrack, the sheer beauty of this film is astounding even as it is. Restoring it would make it fantastic to behold. I've got my fingers crossed Sony will finally do right by fans.

It is on Blu-ray now! I've just watched it. The BRD is expensive but far, far better than the DVD.

man i didnt know it was a limited edition bluray. that is rediculous! why limited?

It's a limited edition BRD because it's released by Twilight Time.

Twilight Time is a small, independant outfit, run by enthusiasts. They take the risk on projects that the big film companies don't want to take a chance on; for example old movies that might not sell in large quantites. Twilight Time pay everything in advance to the film's owners and then sell the discs to the general public. If the disc does not sell, Twilight Time do not get their money back. To make sure they are not stuck with stock they cannot sell, Twilight Time only print 3000 copies of each disc.

So far Twilight Time have released only films originally produced by 20th Century Fox and Columbia.

Very good. It blows the DVD into the weeds. The bigger your screen, the more you will appreciate the upgrade.
