Kim Novak and Bill Holden

Picnic was a worldwide smash hit film, and wonder why Columbia didn't cast Kim Novak and WIlliam Holden in another film. Kim in current interviews always praises James Stewart but to me the sexual chemistry between Novak and Holden in Picnic is palpable. Novak and Holden's dance sequence in Picnic was sexier than the blantant sex in today's movies. Josh Logan staged that scene superbly.
Wonder why Columbia didn't re team Novak and Holden?

Josh Logan has some great hits such as Bus Stop where MM was magnficent, and this film Picnic, and Leslie Caron's fine film Fanny and some flops such as Ensign O Toole with a miscast Bobby Walker Jr, and Camelot which is gorgeous to look at but again miscast.
