Has anyone seen the stageplay?

I'd love to see a good stage production of Picnic.
I have an original playbill of the one that Paul Newman was in.

I just returned home from seeing a stage production by our community theater group. They did a great job! Of course, no one famous was in it. The fellow who played Hal had really nice muscles - must have been working out for a while.

A few years ago there was a New York Off-Broadway revival of Picnic with Ashley Judd as Madge and Polly Holiday in the role of the Rosiland Russell character.
I lived there at the time and saw it. It has always been one of my favorite movies and the Moonglow scene is pure romance. I understand that Inge originally did not want the "happy ending" where Madge takes a risk and takes a chance on real love instead of security. But I guess we all need to believe that happy ending do sometimes happen.

The trivia section says this about the play:
The play "Picnic" takes place entirely on Mrs. Potts' and the Owens' front porches and front lawns. No action at the picnic or anywhere else is seen

I can't even imagine what the play would be like with it all taking place there.
