detox and zosh

Sinatra's character is shown to be feeling pretty much OK after a very short time detoxing. In reality,it would take much longer to start feeling better. As for Zosh, I can't recall ever seeing a more pathetic albatross of a character. What a lead weight for Sinatra! He had two monkeys on his back. Although the movie is dated and stagey, it was great to see some of those old caharacter actors like Arnold Stang and the guy who played the polce lieutenant. Also, someone did their homework because there were some accurate touches regarding heroin addiction. Lexington was the location of the first major drug treatment center in the USA. Sinatra's pupils being pinned while he was under the influence was a realistic detail, as was his sugar craving while in withdrawal. This was an important movie.
