Boxoffice Adjusted to Inflation

Does anyone know why "Ten commandments" from (1956) and "Lady and the Tramp" from (1955)which - as far as I know - made a very similar amount of money during their release year (~40mio), are adjusted so extremely different?

Lady and the Tramp was re-released into theaters multiple times. The Ten Commandments was not as far as I know. At least not as often as Lady and the Tramp...
