anyone else bought the blu ray

i was wathing it last night...looks fantastic.

but justn wondered, is there a missing audio clip, when jock says to the bloodhound that everyone knows you lost your sense of smell, coz it looks like when the bloodhound looks at jock his lips are moving to say something but there is nothing??

Someone else had a thread on this. I just watched the movie too on Blu_Ray (oh! the bliss!). I think it's just his jowls quivering before the snort that he quite audibly gives to Jock. It doesn't look to me like it's his lips moving but more is whole lower cheek/jaw area as if enraged at what Jock said.

cheers

i tried it in other languages, to see if it was a mistake, its seems the same throughout. so i guess its the way its supposed to be, it just seems like it goes silent in that moment

Is the new blu-ray worth getting? I'm still on the fence on buying it.

the blu ray is brilliant, looks fantastic! it really does. disney diamond editons are some of the better blu rays out there.

its got this storyboard meeting commentary ( iwatched a bit of it, similiar to the one in bambi)

am intro from walt's daughter and this nice 10 min featurette with his daughter remebering him.

there is a 50 min making of as well which is good (i never owned the dvd, so i guess it was on there)

if you like the film you should get it.

Actually, they're some of the worst. Nothing but worthless DNR experiments. They should fire the idiots in charge of the transfers and release everything again properly.

reply

so what your saying is that lion king and such look rubbish on blu ray???

ok...whatever you say

reply

DNR ? Sir, you are a moron.
There is no bad use of DNR in Disney's blu-ray discs, they just restored their movies to what they were supposed to be at the very beggining.

reply

he obviously has no idea.

i agree he is a moron, with bad eyes and no clue

It's both of you who are completely clueless. But these Blu-rays are made for clueless and ignorant commoners who don't know what films are supposed to look like. So, what is it like to live in ignorance? Do you think they look "pristine" with the lack of film grain and new digital colors?

reply

zzzzzzzzzz

yes beauty and the beast looks awful zzzz

reply

I haven't seen them but if the grain has been scrubbed then they are bad transfers. All Blu-rays that show large amounts of DNR are failures.

As if those idiots at Blu-ray.com knew what they're talking about? Just look at the screenshots. The background is a still with a static grain texture and the characters have been separately DNR'ed and in plenty of cases painted over digitally. Take a look at these shots from the old DVD and the Blu-ray of Dumbo (DVD: http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/579/dumbodvd.jpg, Blu-ray: http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/4008/dumbobd.jpg), for example. Look how badly the circus workers have been digitally repainted, leaving traces of the original color and erasing the line art.

your argument is flawed, basically your saying that every site that talks about the high quality of the blu rays (all of them) is wrong?

the pics you provide show that blu ray image is better

Fenton!! Fenton..Oh Jesus Christ..FENTOOON

reply

Whatever. If you find that kind of sh!t acceptable, keep enjoying your DNR vomits.
