Lady and the Tramp genre influences (video)
I created a video essay exploring several of the different genres "sampled" in the film Lady and the Tramp, by playing with the footage to make it look more like classic examples of those genres. While some of these genres are probably more coincidental (the sitcom was a pretty new phenomenon at the time, and overlapped with more traditional comedic approaches), others are quite clearly conscious (like the prison film tropes). Anyway, I had a lot of fun creating this and hope other fans of the film enjoy it too:
