New 2-Disc DVD Special Edition to be released on Jan. 15, 2008!

This will be released on Jan. 15, 2008 along with Earth vs. The Flying Saucers (1956) 2-Disc DVD Special Edition both releases are ready for pre-orders on amazon.com & dvdempire.com Both sets will include all new special features. Also are far surperior to the old Columbia Tri-Star Single Disc DVD Releases. Earth vs. The Flying Saucers (1956) my favorite alien invasion Sci-Fi Film of the 50's also which I say is better then George Pal's War Of The Worlds '53 though I am a big fan of that too. But I say Ray's film is way better! The release specifications for It Came From Beneath The Sea are listed below.

I would like to know fans reaction to this stuff I think it's great even though I will always like the original B&W Version better because no matter how good technologies advances I can still tell on parts the film was colorized. I got the 20 Million Miles To Earth 50th Anniversary it was great in color but I could still tell it was colorized on background shadows & things. Earth vs. The Flying Saucers (1956) 2-Disc is bascially the same as this with a few different special features. Also with some of the same features. I am just happy these are getting the 2-Disc treatment with these new exclusive bonus features more then I care about them being Colorized. If u wanna see what the covers are gonna look like both are on dvdempire.com Anyway would like to know what fans think about this. The only thing missing on these New Harryhausen 2-Discs are The Original Theatrical Trailers for the films themselves. But they are included on the old Single Disc DVD's issued by Columbia a few years back which I also own.

I bought this 2 discs version today,and it's fantastic!

I saw the movie in b/w (i prefer this way),but after the positive comments here,i'm going to see it "colorized" next time ;)

BTW,the extras are also great!

Oh,and you think that they will release a similar version of "The valley of Gwangi" and "The beast from 50000 fathoms" one day?

I purchased this DVD for a mere seven bucks at a local grocery store in Central New Jersey.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

I've owned this release for a while and am quite happy with it. The extras are quite enjoyable. I've never checked out the colorized version, though, as I'd rather see this kind of thing in its original black & white format.

I like this movie as well..Never checked out the colorized version...I purchased it in a supermarket in Delaware for $7.99 - well worth it.

I just picked this box-set up and figured that since someone spent the time to 'colorize' it, I'd try to watch it in color. Yuck, after 5 minutes I switched it to B&W and enjoyed the ride.
