When Ray puts it down there is something special going 'round;
for example when those tentacles move they have personality-they move in such a way that is eerie & believable.

I fully agree ! The great Ray Harryhausen (long life to him !) was a magician and, above all, a poet... His movies will never be forgotten thanks to this unique quality.
He has all my tremendous admiration since I saw Jason and the Argonauts (ah, Thalos...) as a little girl.
